I’m a psychotherapist in private practice licensed in NY and NJ. I offer over a decade of experience, specializing in treating anxiety and insomnia. My own struggle with insomnia led me to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and I was my own first CBT-I patient. It worked so well that I became a CBT-I practitioner. Dr. Meg Danforth grew up in Raleigh, graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School, and attended Appalachian State University as a Chancellor’s Scholar. She completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Purdue University in 2004, then returned to the Triangle to complete her clinical training at the Durham VA Medical Center. In 2006, Dr. Danforth joined the faculty of Duke University School of Medicine, where she worked for 15 years as a clinician-educator.
