After working in a variety of settings, including in outpatient community mental health, a men's prison, a youth shelter, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, and a medical/surgical hospital, I found my way to private practice. In 2013, I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I am a certified CBT-I clinician via Dr. Gregg Jacob's training program, and I have conducted individual CBT-I sessions - in office and remotely since 2015. I lean on mindfulness-based techniques as well as incorporating solution-focused brief therapy. In the United States, between 30-40% of the population suffers from insomnia.
