Dr. Rankin earned her B.A. in Psychology at Rice University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University. Before beginning clinical work, Dr. Rankin conducted cognitive and developmental psychology research. She interned at Virginia Treatment Center for Children, Medical College of Virginia, treating children and adolescents in day, residential, and acute settings. Dr. Rankin has worked with a variety of adult and child clients at community mental health agencies, inpatient settings, and in private practice. She has supervised doctoral level students and interns in a university clinic and a psychiatric hospital.
