Laura Hartley New! Featured
Having developed a clinical specialism in neurological rehabilitation, Laura has seen first-hand how complex health conditions affect the brain and body, both physically and psychologically.
Restorative, good-quality sleep is essential to optimising rehabilitation outcomes, and its absence contributes to fatigue, poor wellbeing, and on day-to-day functioning, relationships, work roles and responsibilities.
Driven by this insight, Laura has spent the last eight years integrating sleep science into her practice, training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychotherapeutic coaching with a focus on behavioural change and motivational interviewing.
In recent years, she has developed a specialist interest in women's health, recognising how hormonal fluctuations and decline can significantly disrupt sleep. Laura is trained by the British Menopause Society to deliver their CBT programme for hot flushes and night sweats, which incorporates CBT-I.
By combining deep neurological clinical experience with sleep science and lifestyle medicine, Laura helps individuals address insomnia and broader sleep difficulties.
She is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, The British Sleep Society, and The British Menopause Society.
Laura offers face-to-face appointments at her clinic spaces in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, or online, with both 1:1 and group therapy programmes available.
