Dr Louise Baker-Martins is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in treatment of insomnia and sleep difficulties. She has completed training in advanced CBT-i and is accredited as a Behavioural Sleep Medicine specialist with the European Sleep Research Society. She works with young people and adults with sleep problems, which may present in the context of psychological distress, anxiety, depression and trauma.

Louise has a PhD from the University of Southampton where her work investigated insomnia symptoms and associations with anxiety and cognitive function using neuropsychological testing. She has completed further research into mindfulness-based interventions for sleep, which often sit within CBT-I protocols.

Alongside her sleep practice, from 2019-2025 Louise worked at Salisbury District NHS Hospital and Southampton General Hospital supporting patients and staff teams across a range of physical health specialisms, with a focus on cancer services. She worked as Psychology Lead for a spinal cord injury rehabilitation service and within a Staff Psychology team, supporting hospital staff and teams through individual therapy, consultation and team interventions.
